On the anniversary of the start of the battle for Moscow, the Ministry of Defense declassified archival documents that tell about the defenses of cadets under Maloyaroslavets. The corresponding multimedia section “departed his homeland. By the 80th anniversary of the subtolian cadets,” appeared on the department’s website.
The project tells about the courage and heroism of cadets. As follows from published materials, during the fighting, they destroyed about 40 Hitler tanks and armored personnel carriers, up to 400 German infantry and several dozen armor and cars.
In particular, there is a feat of the commander of the rupture of the cadet Yuri Dobrynin, who, being under strong mortar and machine-gun fire, shot six tanks and two opponent armored vehicles. It is also described about the persistence of Cadet Viktor Lakutin, presented to awarding the medal “for military merit”. “With a group of cadets, held the height of the village of Ilyinsky all night and repeatedly discarded the feed of the enemy who was trying to master the bridge. Upon the approach of reinforcement, the enemy was discarded for height,” the publication says.
In July, the Ministry of Defense declassified documents about the Kiev defensive operation.
