Residents of the Democratic Republic of the Congo burned eight women, accusing them in witchcraft, writes The Guardian with reference to local human rights defenders.
According to the author of the article, the locals arranged a “witch hunt.” Lawyers argue that from June to September 2021, more than 300 women were accused of witchcraft. Specialists have been responsible for what is happening to the country’s leadership, which does not want to take action.
