Member of the City Council of Hague Arnuda Van Dorn was arrested on suspicion of organizing an attempt on the Acting Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte. This is reported by Dutch News.
Dutch police accused a man in “suspicious behavior” during a walk around the area where the prime minister was at that time. According to the investigation, Van Dorn tried to receive information that could help in the preparation and implementation of the murder plans.
The lawyer of the detainee Anis Paper explained the suspicious actions of Wang Dorn with a sense of fear. “There were no reasonable evidence of guilt, and my client did not have to be arrested. It does not matter whether it concerns this or someone else,” she concluded.
Earlier it was reported that the protection rut was strengthened after reports that the politician could be the goal of the attacks of criminal groups. Dutch special services stepped up measures to ensure the security of the minister after the detention of members of the extremist organization who prepared the terrorist attack.
