Most American citizens do not believe that US President Joe Biden and his administration provide the population to the faithful information about Coronavirus. This is reported by AXIOS, referring to the survey data conducted in conjunction with Ipsos.
According to the results of the study, 53 percent of the respondents refused to trust the statements of the government on the epidemiological situation in the country, while 43 percent of the Americans declared a high degree of confidence in the state leader and authorities. At the same time, in January 2021, more than 58 percent of US citizens agreed with the truth of the words of Bayden about the pandemic.
AXIOS also notes that the public confidence in the COVID-19 information has significantly decreased in the media. Thus, news on the Internet and national editions trust from 40 to 45 percent of residents, and television news – only 34 percent.
On September 22, the spokesman for the White House, Jen Psaki, tied a record drop of Bayden ratings with a coronavirus pandemic. According to her, Americans still live in a threat of COVID-19, which causes concerns and alarms in many. At the same time, the politician noted that the President of the United States will continue to promote his agenda.
