The welfare of Russians is at the level of 2010-2011, it is said in the conclusion of the Accounts Chamber for the report on the execution of the federal budget last year.
In the first quarter of 2020, the volume of real disposable incomes of the population increased by 1.9 percent. In the second quarter, the indicator collapsed by 7.1 percent, and in the two following declined by another 4.7 and 1.2 percent, respectively. In general, a year decline was 2.8 percent.
This is not the deepest crisis fall in income of the population, in 2016 it was 4.5 percent, noted in the department. However, the situation is aggravated by the fact that after the crisis of 2014-2016, the income did not have time to return to the pre-crisis indicators, and last year, according to the counting chamber estimates, only worsened the situation.
At the same time, real salaries rose by 3.8 percent in 2020, which “unpreicious for the crisis” is noted in the document. In addition, Russia was able to avoid growth in the level of poverty, which, according to the year, fell by 0.2 percentage points – up to 12.1 percent.
