Representatives of the United States are planning a trip in South America to develop new structural projects that will resist China’s economic program “one belt – one way” writes Reuters. Beijing megaproekt, launched in 2013, suggests infrastructure development projects worldwide.

Delegation of the diplomatic corps led by Deputy Advisor to President Joe Bayden on National Security Dalip Singh Plans to meet with the presidents of Colombia, Ecuador and Panama. The United States conceived to invest in South America in the framework of the global initiative “restore the world in its best form” (B3W), which was developed by the “Big Seven” countries. Its cost is estimated at 40 trillion dollars. The program covers many countries, from Latin America to Africa and Indo-Pacific.

The project representatives of the United States also plan to communicate with the private sector and representatives of the Company on climate, health, digital technologies and gender equality. According to the representative of the administration of Byyden, the official event on the launch of the program is scheduled for early 2022.

In the framework of the “Belt – One Way” initiative, more than 100 countries signed agreements with China on cooperation as part of the development of railways, ports and motorways. At the same time, the United States is confident that very few of the projects have economic meaning. “They often suggest low labor and environmental standards,” said the representative of the administration of Byyden.

The European Union is going to compete with the Chinese project – he will launch the project “Global Gate”. The head of the European Commission of Ursula von der Lyien stated that thanks to the EU project there is a chance to build partnerships with countries around the world. She reproached China that “one belt, one way” was created to expand the strategic influence of the PRC through the creation of debt dependence.
