US State Department found a rocket launch of the DPRK violating several United Nations resolutions (UN). This is on Tuesday, September 28, reports Reuters.

According to the State Department, the rocket launch of the DPRK represents a threat to the international community and neighboring countries. Also, the statement says that Washington remains committed to diplomacy and calls on the DPRK to enter into negotiations.

Earlier, Renhap with reference to the Joint Committee of the headquarters of South Korea reported that North Korea launched an unidentified projectile towards the Japanese Sea. According to the Japanese newspaper Kyodo, the projectile released is a ballistic rocket.

On September 21, the President of the Republic of Korea Moon Zhe in at a meeting of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly appealed to the DPRK authorities with a call to sign the Declaration on the end of the war in the Korean Peninsula in the presence of the United States and China.
