Merkel’s party gave way to Social Democrats in elections to German Bundestag

According to preliminary data, the largest number of votes receives the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SDPG) – 26 percent. The Christian Democratic Union (XDS), whose leader was the resignation of the Chancellor of Angela Merkel, is inferior to SDPG, gaining 24 percent of votes.

At the same time, according to the Exit-Polla of the ARD channel, Social Democrats and XDS receive an equal number of votes – 25 percent.

Total in the Bundestag of the 20th convocation at the moment there are six parties – in addition to two voting leaders, it is “green” (15 percent of the votes), free Democratic Party (12), “Alternative for Germany” (10) and left batch (about 5).
