Social Democrats won elections to Germany Bundestag

Social Democratic Party of Germany (SDPG) won the 20th convocation in the Bundestag elections, which were held in the country on September 26. Results are published on the website of the Federal Electoral Commission Germany.

According to data in all 299 German districts, Social Democrats scored 25.7 percent of the votes. A block of Christian-Democratic and Christian Social Unions (XDS / HSS) scored a total of 24.1 percent of the votes. The difference between the two leading parties amounted to 1.6 percent.

Candidates for German Chancellors from Olaf Scholz leading parties (SDPG) and Armin Pain (XDS / HSS) have already stated that they are going to finish negotiations on the ruling coalition in the new government to Catholic Christmas. According to Scholts, if this happens a little earlier, “it would be good too.” It stressed that the new government should begin work “before Christmas”, since Germany next year will be the chairman of the G7.
