Brain is described for artificial intelligence

Scientists described the ability to copy the human brain to the physical drive. This is reported by Edition Engadget.

The project creation of an artificial brain revealed scientists of Harvard University and SAMSUNG engineers. The article in the Nature magazine states that the new method allows you to imitate the human brain and transfer it to semiconductor chips. In the future, this development will create a brain for artificial intelligence.

The essence of scientific work lies in the fact that the card of neural bonds of the human brain can be copied using an array of nanoelectrodes. It is then transferred to a three-dimensional network of high-density solid-state memory. A similar chip can reproduce the unique computing characteristics of the brain, including environmental adaptation, ease of study, low power consumption, autonomy and knowledge.

The matrix of nanoelectrodes described by scientists can enter into a large number of neurons and record their electrical signals with high sensitivity. The record of these intracellular connections reports where neurons are connected and how strong these signals are. Such a map can be integrated into NAND or RPAM chips.

At the moment, the creation and production of artificial brain is limited to technical progress. It is specified that there are more than 100 billion neurons in the human brain and a thousand times more synaptic ties between them. Thus, this neuromorphic chip will require about 100 trillion memory units.

Previously, American scientists found that the decision-making, expressive speech and arbitrary movements respond to recurrent neural networks in the brain. Artificial analogues are used to solve problems such as language translation and recognition of objects.
