The American Pharmaceutical Company Pfizer has begun large-scale tests of the preventive preparation from COVID-19. This is reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the company.

According to the agency, the new antivirus drug is intended for the treatment of coronavirus in the early stages or as the prevention of the disease.

“Pfizer announced the start of the 2/3 of the EPIC-PEP test phase to study the effect of the new anti-virus candidate PF-07321332 along with small doses of Ritonavir to prevent COVID-19,” the message says.

It is noted that 2,660 people are planned to participate in the study, which will take the drug twice a day for 5-10 days.
