In Germany at 8:00 am local time September 26 (9:00 Moscow), polling stations were opened for elections to Bundestag. According to the results of the beginning, the voting will also have a new government led by the new Chancellor, TASS notes.
In the elections, just over 60 million Germans will be able to participate. The country uses a mixed electoral system, combining the majority and proportional principles. Half of the Bundestag deputies is elected in 299 constituent districts by direct voting, the other – on party lists.
It is noted that the most part of the parliamentary elections participates in the current parliamentary elections since the reunification of Germany – 47 associations, as well as a record number of candidates – 6,121 people.
The real chances of entering the parliament, according to sociologists, have a Christian-Democratic Union, the Social Democratic Party of Germany, “Green”, the free Democratic Party, “Alternative for Germany” and the left party.
