On September 27, the representative of Afghanistan Iskhakzay, and not a representative of the Taliban terrorist movement (prohibited in Russia), will perform a session of the UN General Assembly on September 27. This is reported by TASS with reference to the office of the Secretary General.
Earlier, the Press Secretary of the UN Secretary General Stefan Duzharrik said that the Taliban expressed a desire to perform during the high level of the General Assembly. They also stated that the Ambassador of Afghanistan in the UN, appointed by the government of Ashraf Ghani, no longer represents the interests of the country.
