“Taliban” (the movement is recognized as terrorist and prohibited in Russia) refuses to appoint new ambassadors in those countries that have not announced the recognition of the new Taliban government. This was told by Deputy Minister of Culture and Information of the Interim Government of Afghanistan Zabilella Mujahide in an interview with RIA Novosti.
“If [Countries] recognize our government, then we will send our ambassadors to them, and we hope that it will happen soon,” he stressed.
According to Mujahid, it also applies to Moscow – they expect good diplotes from it.
In an interview with Sky News Arabiya, the representative of Taliban stated that the conditions that countries nominate for the recognition of the new Afghan authorities are not satisfied with the Taliban. Mujahid believes that these requirements violate international legislation. What exactly he meant is not specified.
US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken noted that the world is waiting for compliance with the Taliban obligations taken. Among them are the creation of an inclusive government, the struggle against terrorism and the protection of human rights. The Russian side also does not hurry to recognize the new government. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Moscow stands for the normalization of the situation in Afghanistan and coordinate international efforts to solve the crowned problems.
