On Thursday, September 23, 2021, the winners of the All-Russian Competition “Big Change” visited the East Cosmodrome within the framework of the project “Dream Travel”. During the project, participants will overcome more than 9.5 thousand kilometers from Vladivostok to Moscow. As part of the route “Dreams” on the path of the unique train participants, a saturated cultural and educational program, excursions on the main attractions of the country and key strategic objects are waiting.
One of the bus stops was the first civilian cosmodrome of Russia – the eastern cosmodrome. The guys visited the assembly and test case, in which the assembly of carrier missiles and the preparation of spacecraft to start, saw the starting table for the Soyuz-2 carrier rocket.
At one of the sites of the excursion program, the guys met the hero of Russia, the pilot-cosmonaut of the Russian Federation Sergey Prokopyev. He told the guys about how the eve of the cosmonauts – the lives of the crew and experiments at the International Space Station, the achievements of Russian cosmonautics and the prospects for the development of space.
On this day, the project participants and residents of the city of Tsiolkovsky also introduced a unique opportunity to send postcards depicting the cosmodrome to anywhere in the world. Such an opportunity was provided by a partner of the event – Russian Post. In addition, anyone could take part in the charity event “Tree of Good”, in which it was possible to give a subscription to printed newspapers and magazines to pupils of shelters, boarding schools and wards of nursing homes, as well as libraries, providing the useful literature of residents of remote villages and villages.
All-Russian Competition “Big Change” is a platform for education, development and communication of schoolchildren. The organizers of the competition “Big Change” are ANO “Russia – the country of opportunities” and the FGBU “Rospatriot Center” and the Russian movement of schoolchildren. The competition is implemented within the framework of the national project “Education”. “Big Change” passes with the support of the Ministry of Sports of Russia, the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia and Rosmolodege. In 2020, more than 1 million high school students took part in the “big change” contest. 600 schoolchildren were the winners – 300 students of 9-10 classes and 300 eleventh graders.
