Roskosmos State Corporation announced a competition for working on piloted flights to the moon. On the preparation of Russia to send a person to the natural satellite of the Earth, RIA Novosti reports, referring to the materials of the state procurement site.
“Objectives of research work: Development of proposals, recommendations, requirements for promising technologies, elements and systems of rocket-space products, ensuring reliable implementation of manned flights to the moon, the work of astronauts on the arrogant orbit and the surface of the moon, taking into account the need to solve Medical and biological problems “, – noted in the document.
The cost of relevant work is estimated at 1.7 billion rubles.
To send a person to the Moon, it is planned to use the Angara missile and a small transport ship (MTC).
In September, the general director of Roskosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, stated that the Russian superheavy missile “Yenisei” for flights to the moon will be created on the basis of new technologies, and not old. According to him, otherwise, the corporation “will simply throw a trillion rubles under the cries of people who do not have enough money in the country.”
In January, the Council on Space of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) recommended “Roskosmos” instead of “Yenisei” to use for flights to the moon heavy carrier “Angara”.
