The powerful bodies of the European Union (EU) interfere with the election campaign in the Czech Republic, passing over the elections to the lower chamber of the country’s parliament. This was stated by Prime Minister of the Republic Andrei Babish in an interview with Parlamentnilisty.
Politician accused the deputies of the European Parliament in a pressure on the European Commission (EC) for the purpose of interference in the internal affairs of the Czech Republic. “This is not their business! We are a free and sovereign country,” he stressed. Babish also criticized the Deputy Chairman of the EC, the European Commissioner on Transparency Frame Yurov. According to the prime minister, the EU influence on internal politics is also felt in Hungary and Poland.
Earlier it was reported that the Police of Prague for the third time suggested to attract Babis to criminal liability. The prosecutor’s office received a criminal case about the fraud with the illegal receipt of subsidies from the EU funds by the Nest of Aista, belonging to the relatives of the Czech premiere. The politician himself believes that the matter against him is “trying to revive” before the parliamentary elections in the Czech Republic, which will be held on October 8 and 9.
