FAS ordered “Pyaterochka” and “Magnet” to reduce food prices

Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) in the Moscow region has revealed cases of overpricing in the stores of retail chains “Pyaterochka” and “Magnet” in a number of districts of the region. This is stated in a message on the site of the federal agency.

During the inspection antimonopolschiki found that in the urban districts, where one of the networks in a dominant position, the prices for products in stores is higher than in other retail outlets in the region. For example, the excess of the cost of flour, bread, chicken and pork was more than 10 percent.

Federal Antimonopoly Service issued a trading networks warning to eliminate the violations in the case of non-fulfillment of the order within ten days, the agency filed a case of violation of antitrust laws.
