US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken in Twitter revealed the expectations of the international community from the Taliban (a terrorist organization is prohibited in Russia). According to him, the world is waiting for the Taliban, who captured power in Afghanistan will comply with their obligations.
“The international community is one in its expectations that the Taliban will comply with its obligations,” the head of the State Department emphasized the Ministerial Meeting of the G20 at the 76th Session of the UN General Assembly.
At the meeting of the G20 of Russia, the deputy head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Sergey Vershinin told the TASS that Moscow made the situation in Afghanistan and coordinate international efforts to solve the urgent problems.
“We outlined our consecutive approaches to the situation in Afghanistan – the normalization of the situation, the need to coordinate the approaches of the international community, the need to solve humanitarian problems through the coordination of the international community,” the diplomat explained.
Vershinin indicated that most of the responsibility for coordinating efforts to stabilize the situation in the republic lies with the United States due to their military presence in the country that lasted twenty years. The deputy head of the Foreign Ministry concluded that Afghanistan is a hot topic that will be discussed in the fields of the UN.
Earlier, the German Foreign Minister Khaiko Maas stated that the performance of the Motion of the Taliban at the UN General Assembly would not solve the problems of Afghanistan. According to him, at present, militants must provide human rights and especially women in Afghanistan. Maase believes that the Taliban must separate themselves from terrorist groups and include representatives of other populations in the Afghan government.
