There is no bed in the room, it will be submitted only at the last stage of the test and before leaving the Surrotamer, the research participant will be able to sleep. Up to this point, it will carry out numerous tasks within the framework of psychological testing, regularly engage in medical self-examination (for example, measure temperature and pressure), to demonstrate the abilities for creativity, diary and oral reporting, maintain physical form using sports equipment.
The test participant is under the clock video surveillance from a psychologist, a physician and the tracking engineer, which are part of the duty team. They see and hear it, and it will be deprived of communication throughout the research, but maybe, for example, singing or ponder out loud. It is helped to maintain yourself in wakefulness. The study of the nervous psychological stability of cosmonaut candidates on the Kvanta stand (Surrocamera) – such is the official name of the test – is carried out once and only at the general-grade preparation.
