The new Chancellor of Germany will be difficult to build a personal relationship with the head of the Russian state by Vladimir Putin. He is expected to be difficult, as Putin’s communication with the current head of Germany Angela Merkel was formed by decades. According to him, Putin and Merkel have something to remember, because they both had a relation to the GDR and their mentality. “They walked along the same streets, they read the same newspapers,” said Golovanov, adding that Putin speaks free in German, and Merkel could sometimes use Russian in conversation.
