British Prime Minister Boris Johnson advised the French president Emmanuel Makron to stop indignant because of the Defense Alliance Aukus (it includes Australia, United Kingdom, USA) and take himself in hand. About it reports The Independent.
These words sounded during the Johnson meeting with US President Joe Biden. “I think some of our exercise friends would have to stop outraged and take yourself in hand …. [Creating Aukus] is a huge step towards the development of international security,” the premier noted.
Edition Notes: Johnson’s request sounded on a mixture of English and French (“Prenez Un GRIP” and “Donnez-Moi Un Break”), which allegedly points to the mockery with which the British politician appeals to French.
Because of the Defense Partnership Agreement, the Australian authorities came out of the contract for the construction of a submarine with a total of 66 billion dollars concluded with the French Naval Group. It provoked an international scandal. In response, Paris for the first time in history recalled ambassadors from Washington and Canberra. France also opposed the continuation of the negotiations of the European Union with Australia on Free Trade.
