The Russian government agreed “as an experiment” to resolve Rosneft to export to Europe to 10 billion cubic meters of gas per year. About this, with reference to the draft report of the Vice-Prime Minister Alexander Novak, President Vladimir Putin writes “Kommersant”.
Currently, Gazprom has a monopoly right for gas supplies over the pipelines. The proposed version involves deliveries through the company’s agency agreement.
At the same time, the positions of Gazprom and Rosneft on this issue are opposite. In Rosneft, it is believed that such deliveries may solve the problem with the loading of gas pipelines “Northern Stream-2” and OPAL, which come under the EU gas directive (requires reserving 50 percent of pumping power under an independent supplier).
