Norwegian scientist put Covid-19 in one row with seasonal infections

Deputy Director of the Norwegian Institute of Public Health (FHI) Geir Buchhme said that in the current situation, Coronavirus can be put in one row with seasonal infections. His words reports Verdens Gang Edition.

“Now we are at the new stage, when we must consider coronavirus as one of several respiratory diseases with seasonal changes,” the scientist said. He drew attention to the fact that most people who are in the risk group are vaccinated, so lately the hospital is relatively free. However, this does not mean that the pandemic is over, because in developing countries, vaccination does not cover a sufficient number of people, added FHI deputy director.

According to FHI, as of September 20, about 82 percent of residents over 18 years from the total population (more than 3.5 million) were vaccinated.

Earlier, therapist immunologist Vladislav Pearchov said that at the first symptoms of ailment, there are no differences between coronavirus, flu and cold. He added that coronavirus and seasonal respiratory infections are treated with similar preparations.
