American aerospace company ASTRA has postponed its first commercial launch rocket on the last second of the countdown. It is reported by Investors Business Daily.
According to the American publication, the launch was interrupted by the guidance system per second before takeoff. It is noted that the company has not yet reported the date of the next flight. The launch of the rocket was to go through the contract with the Pentagon, the rocket must bear the payload for US space forces.
Two previous starts of the company’s missiles ended in failure: In September last year, the device did not reach the space due to problems with the guidance system, and in December – could not gain sufficient orbital speed due to lack of fuel.
Earlier it was reported that Roskosmos transfers the launch of the Moon-25 mission for May 2022. Run transfer is associated with a lack of time to prepare the elements of the program. According to Vice-President of the Russian Academy of Sciences Academician Yuri Balay, scientists lack time to complete the preparation of the device. His words confirmed Academician Yuri Mars. “I can say that the launch is transferred to the next year. Most likely – May,” said Mars.
