Number of victims of explosions in warehouse of ammunition in Kazakhstan has grown to 12

The number of victims in a series of explosions in a military warehouse in the Zhambyl region of Kazakhstan has grown to 12. It is reported by the Tengrinews portal with reference to the press service of the country’s Emergencies Ministry.

According to rescuers, the bodies were found on the site of the explosion. They died when eliminating the effects of fire. Thus, the number of victims of the incident has grown from nine to 12. About 50 people are currently being affected. Their number may also increase.

Explosion in the warehouse of ammunition in Kazakhstan occurred on August 26 around 19:00 (16:00 Moscow time). According to the Ministry of Defense of the Republic, the premises were kept predominantly engineering shells who do not have a lot of distance from the distance. Nevertheless, the authorities decided to evacuate all residents of nearby villages.
