Corporation “Moscow Institute of Heat Engineering” (MIT, is part of the state-in-law “Roskosmos”) on August 26, 2021, the start of the undercarriage tests of the monorail transport system – the train moving using magnetolevation technology (Maglev’s technology – the principle of the magnetic cushion).
Monorail transport system, the development of which is currently being conducted by the Moscow Institute of Heat Engineering, has a number of advantages, in front of modern urban transport. This is the speed of construction and commissioning, reduced noise level and high performance. Transport on the magnetic cushion is environmentally friendly, requires minimal maintenance of rolling stock and overpass, has low power consumption. Such a train will be able to work including in unmanned mode.
According to the results of all planned test cycles of the new train, the possibility of deploying full-scale work on serial production of this type of monorail transport system is considered.
Layout of the train on the magnetolevation pillow was represented by the Moscow Institute of Heat Engineering during the recently held International Military Technical Forum “Army-2021”.
