Moscow will help remaining Afghan students in country

Moscow is considering the possibility of export from the country of Afghan students enrolled in Russian universities. This was stated by the Russian ambassador to Kabul Dmitry Zhirnov, reports RIA Novosti.

“In the agenda, an important question is to help Afghan students who study in Russia, but who, because of Coronavirus, can not get to Russia for two years – here to help them,” the diplomat told them. He noted that at the moment the employees of the Russian diplomsses call all students who could not leave Afghanistan.

According to Zhirnov, in 2021, about 400 Afghans should be enrolled in 80 universities throughout Russia. “We have to dial up to everyone, find out where they are,” he clarified. The ambassador hoped that the remaining students would be ready to leave Afghanistan if Moscow could organize special flights.

Earlier, the diplomat said that the evacuation of Russians, who expressed the desire to leave Afghanistan, was over. At the same time, about a hundred Russian citizens decided to stay in the republic. Zhirnes also appreciated the “good interaction” of the militants of the Radical Movement “Taliban” (prohibited in Russia) with the embassy during the evacuation of Russian citizens.
