Russia handed over Belarus modernized Gaubits “Acacia”

Russia handed over to Belarus by the batch of modernized self-propelled self-propelled Gaubitz 2c3m “Acacia”. This is reported by TASS with reference to the press service of Uraltransmash, which answered the repair and assembly of guns.

According to the management of the plant, weapons were sent by Minsk as part of a contract with the Ministry of Defense of the Republic. “Made the repair of the artillery part and the anti-digit device, and the engine and the bodies of self-propeller are modernized,” the press service said. The 152-millimeter self-propelled Gaubita “Acacia” was developed in the 1960s and has undergone many modernization. The car is designed to destroy tanks, self-propelled enemy guns, fortified firepoints and enemy rear joints, it is also actively used for fire support for the upcoming troops.

Agreements on the supply of Russian weapons to Belarus were concluded at the meeting of President Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko at the end of May in Sochi. The decision was made in the framework of the cooperation of the military-industrial complex of the two countries. Accurate volumes and cost of supplies are unknown.
