at least 20 people died and about 50 were missing after the boat and barge colliding in Peru, reports El Comercio. The incident occurred on the Ualaga River near the city of Yurimaguas on Sunday, August 29th.
Passenger ship came out in the morning from the village of Santa Maria in the direction of Yurimagas. Because of the fog, the sailors did not notice another ship. According to the publishing of La Republica, about 80 people were in the engine boat: about 60 adults and 20 children. In place are now working military sailors. There is a search and rescue operation.
Earlier, a small vessel sank after a collision with a motor ship in St. Petersburg. Emergency occurred in the water area of Middle Neck in the region of the 2nd Elagina Bridge. Rescuers brought to the shore of six people who were on the ship. There were no injured as a result of the collision.
