Russian Foreign Ministry explained “hunt” of United States for Russians

Washington for 13 years leads a real hunt for Russians in third countries to follow the extradition in the United States, said the authorized Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia on human rights, democracy and the rule of law, Deputy Director of the Department of Humanitarian Cooperation and Human Rights Gregory Lukyantsev , Writes RIA Novosti.

As the diplomat noted, the American intelligence services since 2008 are actively observed for citizens of Russia abroad. During this period, about 50 people extraded in the United States. “A screaking example is the practice that the United States is actively used, according to the real hunt for our citizens abroad,” Lukyantsev emphasized. The representative of the Foreign Ministry added that when Russians appear before the American court, they are strong pressure. They are trying to incline to cooperate with the investigation, recognizing guilt, considers the diplomat. According to him, this is done so that a person agrees to a deal with American services. However, many Russians, as Lukyantsev noted, refuse to take blame.

He recalled that other methods of “persuasion” apply against Russians. For example, this is a refusal of medical care or its untimely provision. The diplomat led to the example of “blatant” cases of the pilot of Konstantin Yaroshenko, Roman Selezneva (accused of cybercrime), a businessman Viktor Bout and others.

In June 2021, Russian Oleg Koshkin was found guilty of cybercrime. Koshkin passed in the same case that Pyotr Levashov issued by the United States, – together contained a network that was engaged in theft of personal data.
