Kandahar: banned music and work of women leading

In the Afghan province of Kandahar, the music, as well as the appearance on the radio and television of women leading, is prohibited. This is reported by the PAJHWOK news agency.

it is clarified that the appropriate order was given to the local department for cultural and information. At the same time, agency previously reported on the adoption of a similar ruling in another province of Afghanistan Gazni.

It is noted that after coming to power in the South Asian country, the Taliban’s radical movement (a terrorist organization prohibited in Russia) promised to respect women’s rights and not prohibit them to go out without men.

However, on August 24, the UN reported that the radical group will recruit children, execute civilians and limits women’s rights. It is argued that the Taliban conducts extrajudicial reprisals over former members of the National Security Forces of Afghanistan, deprives women of the right to free movement and prohibits girls to attend schools. The day after this statement, August 25, Taliban for a while banned women to leave the house and attend work, as it is unsafe for them.

On August 15, the militants of the Taliban movement entered Kabul and declared the full control over the territory of Afghanistan. They also announced that soon the creation of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan was proclaimed.
