The head of the United Aircraft Corporation Yuri Slyusar called the date of commencement of regular flights of the latest civilian aircraft MS-21 (“main aircraft of the XXI century”). This is reported in the plot of the TV channel “Russia 1”.
The medium-high-class airliner will start performing regular flights already in the next, 2022th year.
Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Industry and Commission of Russia Denis Manturov said that by 2026 it is planned to gradually reach the rate of production in 70 such aircraft per year.
MS-21 passenger aircraft made the first flight with the PD-14 engine in December 2020. It was specified that he took off from the airfield of the Irkutsk Aviation Plant and was in the air of 85 minutes.
