According to a comprehensive schedule of work on the Baikonur cosmodrome, the refueling unit “Frigate” was successfully completed, designed to eliminate the ONEWEB satellite spacecraft in orbit. Technological operations continued for seven days at a refueling station No. 31.
Works were performed by specialists of the Test Center for Refueling Space Center (branch of the center of exploitation of land-based space infrastructure facilities, is included in the state corporation Roscosmos). The next stage of preparation is the transportation of “frigate”, which was developed by the SA Science and Production Association Lavochkina (enters Roscosmos), to the installation and test case of the site No. 31 to pass the final operations before assembling the cosmic head (ONEWEB devices, an accelerated block, a head fairing).
Start of the Soyuz-2.1B media missile with an overclocking unit “Frigate” and 34 ONEWEB spacecraft is scheduled for September 14, 2021 from the Baikonur cosmodrome start-up complex.
