Thousands of residents of Berlin went to the city center for a protest action against the restrictions entered by the authorities to contain the spread of coronavirus, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the representative of the Berlin Police.
“About two thousand people are currently gathered on a sanctioned rally on Potsdamer Platz. People stand, without observing the distance, the part does not have protective masks,” the agency’s interlocutor noted.
According to him, during the day in Berlin, several unauthorized shares were held, in which the police conducted detentions and now establishes the identities of the violators. “Several police officers suffered as a result of attempts by protesters to free the detainees,” the police spokesman said.
