Latvian border guards practiced inhuman methods of displaceing refugees to the territory of Belarus. This was stated in the press service of the Belarusian State Personal Committee, reports TASS.
As stated in the agency, from 24 to 27 August, Latvian border guards brought together a group of foreigners to the border opposite the Polotsky border project and then with the use of physical strength and official dogs expelled them from their country to Belarus.
“Often, we often leave people, including women and children, in the middle of the forest without food and clothes. Throwing them for survival, they simultaneously report in their media that allegedly groups of migrants went to Belarus,” the department announced .
also noted there that if the incident recorded Belarusian border guards, then the Latvian security forces take refugees and are taken to another site to repeat the algorithm. At the same time, the Latvian side hides “criminal actions from the public, media and international organizations,” said Belarus.
Previously, ECHR ordered Latvia and Poland to provide housing, products, clean water and medicines of all illegal migrants stuck on the border with Belarus.
The migration crisis at the borders of Belarus and the European Union (EU) began at the end of May. Large groups of migrants from the countries of the Middle East and Africa began to storm the boundaries of Lithuania for asylum in European countries. Later illegals began to detain on the borders of Latvia and Poland and return back. At the same time, the Belarusian authorities refuse to let refugees back.
