The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Austria Alexander Sallenberg announced the possibility of international recognition of the Taliban (a terrorist organization prohibited in Russia). This is reported by TASS.
According to politics, there is a difference between leading negotiations at the technical level and recognition by their legal representatives of Afghanistan. According to the head of the Austrian department, it is necessary to put clear conditions for the latter. And only after their fulfillment of the Taliban, it will be possible to consider official representatives of the state, he stressed.
As one of the prerequisites, Sallenberg called preventing the transformation of Afghanistan into an incubator of international terrorism. The country cannot become a black hole policies, he said. Currently, the situation in Afghanistan can lead to destabilization of a whole region, he noted.
Earlier US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken stated that the United States will begin to cooperate with the “Taliban” movement only if his representatives will fulfill their obligations.
