The Poland President Angey Duda ordered to introduce a state of emergency in the territories near the border with Belarus due to the influx of illegal migrants. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the press secretary of the head of the state of Blagely Spikhalsky.
Poland’s authorities stated that the regime would be valid for 30 days with the possibility of further extension. According to the agency, since the beginning of August, Polish border guards recorded more than three thousand attempts at the illegal crossing of the border by citizens from the Belarusian side.
Earlier, the Government of Poland proposed to introduce an emergency (emergency) in the regions on the border with Belarus due to the flow from its territory of illegal migrants from Afghanistan and other countries of the Middle East. Then noted that the decision on the introduction of a state of emergency will touch on 115 settlements in Podlaska Voivodeship and 68 – in Lublin.
