Dozens of residents of Afghanistan demanded to include them in a new government

Dozens of residents of the city of Herat in Afghanistan, including students and female public institutions, reached a rally and demanded from representatives of the Taliban (the organization is recognized as terrorist and prohibited in the Russian Federation) to include them in the new government. It is reported by Tolo News

Women and girls who came to the action stated that they were concerned about their future with the authorities of the Taliban. The protesters call on the international community “Do not forget about them.”

The participants of the rally noticed transparencies with the inscription: “No state can be sustainable without women.”

September 1 Representative of Taliban in Doha Shira Mohammad Abbas Stanikzay said that women will be able to work in the state structures of Afghanistan in positions below the minister’s level. He also stressed that such an opportunity will be only among the female population, which did not cooperate with US military personnel.

At the same time, human rights defenders claim that the words of Taliban should not be trusted: they constantly declare the protection of human rights, but in Afghanistan there is a number of violations. Many women and girls beaten, from August 25 they are also forbidden to leave the house and attend work.
