The Minister expressed the hope that negotiations between the parties to the conflict will be completed. “I hope that negotiations will still end with the negotiation decision, and they will not be interrupted, and the threats to resume the fighting will not be implemented,” Lavrov said.

Earlier on September 2, Al-Jazeera TV channel reported that the Taliban decided to start an offensive on the strength of resistance in the province of Panjucher after the failure of the negotiations with the leader of the rebel Akhmed Masud. Prior to this, the representative of the movement Amir Khan Mottaki also stated that the Taliban intends to take Panjucher by force, since negotiations with resistance were inefficient.
