At the same time presented New release of the gaming console emulator Retroarch 1.9.9 , which is the basis of the LAKKA distribution. Retroarch provides emulation a wide range of devices and supports such extended capabilities as multiplayer games, keeping the condition, improving the image quality of old games with shaders , rewind game back, hot connecting gamepads and video streamming. Among the emulated consoles: Atari 2600/7800 / Jaguar / Lynx, Game Boy, Mega Drive, Nes, Nintendo 64 / DS, PCengine, PSP, SEGA 32x / CD, Supernes, etc. The gamepads are maintained from already available game consoles, including PlayStation 3, Dualshock 3, 8Bitdo, Nintendo Switch, Xbox 1 and Xbox360.
In the new release of Retroarch:
- implemented support for the extended dynamic range (HDR, High Dynamic Range), which is still limited only for drivers using Direct3D 11/12. For Vulkan, Metal and OpenGL support for HDRs plan to implement later.
- In the port for Nintendo 3DS consoles, support is added support for the display of an interactive menu in the lower touch screen area.

In addition to updating Retroarch in Lakka 3.4, a new issue of Mesa 21.2.1 is proposed and versions of emulators and game engines are updated.
