The European Union condemns the sentences made by the court to members of the Coordination Council of the Belarusian Opposition of Mary Kolesnikova and Maxim Sign, which received 11 and 10 years of imprisonment in the case of an attempt to commit a coup in the republic. This is stated in a common statement of the foreign policy service of the Union.
As stated in a press release, Brussels considers the charges submitted to Belarusian opposition. “The EU regrets the continuing gross disrespect of the Belarusian authorities of the rights and freedoms of the Belarusian people,” the message.
