Russia does not prohibit the United States to resume the work of the Consulate Protection in St. Petersburg, but Washington will not be ashamed about it. This was stated by the Russian Foreign Minister, a member of the first five to the candidates of the State Duma from the Party “United Russia” Sergey Lavrov, reports TASS.
Foreign Minister noted that bilateral dialogue between Moscow and Washington in relation to diplomatic personnel does not move anywhere.
According to Lavrov, the American authorities declared a shortage of workers’ hands, because of which they were forced to close the Consulate General and freeze work on issuing visas. “These are attempts by indecent pressure, attempts to overtake themselves some unilateral advantages,” he indicated.
