At the site of the future starter complex for the launch vehicles of the Angara family on the East Cosmodrome in the Amur region, atmospheric evaporators are installed.
Atmospheric evaporators are necessary to transfer nitrogen and oxygen from a liquid state into a gaseous. In total, there should be 6 such aggregates in the cryogenic storage, each weighing about two tons and six meters high. Two of them are designed to gasify oxygen, they were installed in June 2021. Installation of four more, with the help of which the translation of nitrogen from liquid in a gaseous state will be carried out, ended in early September.
Currently, cryogenmontage specialists with direct participation and control of the center of exploitation of land-based space infrastructure (Roscosmos state corporation) have begun installation of equipment in cryogenic oxygen and nitrogen storage. After installation, the pipelines will be installed and the necessary tests are carried out.
