The decision of the Government of Poland on the introduction of a state of emergency in the regions on the border with Belarus was supported by the majority of deputies. This is reported by TASS.
For this measure on Monday, September 6, 247 parliamentarians voted, 168 were against, abstained 20.
The decision on the introduction of a state of emergency was taken on Friday after signing the appropriate disposition by the President of Poland, Andrzej Dudoy. Sejm could cancel the decision of the Polish leader if most deputies were opposed.
Emergency will be valid for 30 days. It was introduced on the plot of the Polish-Belarusian border at a distance of three kilometers from it. This decision will affect 115 settlements in Podlaska Voivodeship and 68 in Lublin.
The migration crisis at the borders of Belarus and the European Union began at the end of May. Large groups of migrants from Africa and the Middle East region began to illegally move across the boundaries for asylum in European countries. Later illegals began to detain on the border points of Latvia and Poland and return back.
As reported by the Lithuanian authorities, the influx of migrants in several tens times exceeded the same indicators of 2020. European countries are accused of inconsider Minsk and personally president of Alexander Lukashenko.
