Islamabad plans to purchase at least ten million doses of the vaccine from Coronavirus Satellite. This was stated by the Ambassador of Pakistan in Russia Shavkat Ali Khan, reports TASS.
Diplomat noted that the Embassy of Pakistan became one of the first diplotomations whose employees were vaccinated from COVID-19 by the Russian drug. In his opinion, in the conditions of a pandemic, it has lost them from problems. He also stressed that Pakistan achieved success in the fight against coronavirus.
Ambassador noted that Islamabad announced his interest in the production of the “satellite V” in Pakistani territory, and at the moment the parties are discussing technical details. He noted that Russia cannot produce a vaccine in sufficient volumes, as the demand for it is too high. “Therefore, part of vaccines should be carried out in countries with a large population. We plan to move in this direction, this is the next stage,” concluded Ali Khan.
On September 3, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sistema Vladimir Yevtushenkov said that negotiations on the production of the Russian vaccine against coronavirus “satellite V” are conducted with different countries. As an example, he led Bahrain and Jordan. To date, the Russian drug is used in 70 countries.
