President of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) Alexander Sergeev advised hemp in order to reduce taxes. His words report RIA Novosti.

According to him, many countries legalized the use of cannabis and create drugs based on it.

“hemp can save us from paying cross-border carbon tax. And at the same time will restore our presence in the market of technical fibers,” said Sergeev.

He concluded that “physiotherapeutic agents may well be very serious medical, and therefore the economic future.”

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin criticized the draft cross-border carbon regulation (tour), published by the European Commission (EC) on July 14. The document is intended to equalize the goods produced in the EU countries with low carbon dioxide emissions and products of other countries that have moved little in the introduction of special methods in industry to reduce CO2 emissions. Environmental collection to import goods with significant carbon trails offered to introduce gradually in the period from 2023 to 2026.
