After launching an Inspiration4 mission, Spacex breaks the record by the number of people at the same time in space, which lasted more than a quarter of a century. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
It is noted that in March 1995, there were 13 people at a low near-earth orbit, whereas at present – 14.
That after the launch of the Inspiration4 mission, a 25-year-old record in the number of people at the same time in space, Alexander Zheleznyakov, warned the historian of Cosmonautics. The specialist recalled that in March 1995 there were 13 people at the same time. Of these, six – on the Russian orbital station “Peace” and seven – on the American ship Space Shuttle Endeavour.
Currently there are 14 people in space. On the ISS – seven people from the USA, Russia, France and Japan. Three Taikonauts – at the Chinese orbital station Tiangong. During the Civil Mission Inspiration4, with the help of Falcon 9 rocket on the Crew Dragon spacecraft, four more people went to the near-earth orbit.
