Australia issued an agreement on submarines with French Naval Group

Australia issued a submarine agreement with the French Naval Group. This was stated by the head of the Australian Government Scott Morrison, reports TASS.

“We will not continue the construction program for the construction of submarines with France, which was informed by the French government and its president of Macgron,” the Australian Prime Minister stressed. He also stated that France remains for Australia an important partner in the Pacific region.

It is clarified that the decision followed after the signing of a new partnership in the field of defense and security between the United States, Britain and Australia, which involves the creation of nuclear submarines for the Navy of Australia for 18 months.

Earlier, the heads of the United States, Great Britain and Australia revealed the details of the Details of the Defense and Security Treaty. The agreement was named Auukus (the abbreviation of the names of the three member countries). The purpose of this partnership is to simplify the exchange of information and technological innovations, as well as in the appearance of attacking strikes from large distances.
