The Department of Internal Affairs of Finland reported a decision to extend restrictions because of COVID-19 with third countries, including Russia, until October 10. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the department’s website.
This reports that “the vaccination coverage has not yet been appreciated as adequate,” and also that the “health overload risk is preserved.”
In the Ministry of Internal Affairs also informed that entry into Finland was opened for anyone who passed a full course of vaccination against coronavirus drugs approved by WHO or the European Medicine Agency.
Earlier, Finland decided to expand the reception of visa applications from Russians, starting from October 1. According to the director of the Department of Consular Services of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Pasy Tominen, now applications will be taken from Russians going to the country with business goals, and from those who have an expired multiple Schengen visa issued by Finland for a period of at least two years.
